Available in-store on the weekend— Baba Tree Baskets Nyarigas (2 handles with sloped sides) and Rounds (single handle) in various sizes snd design motifs. These beautifully crafted artisan baskets are perfect for yarn and knitting project management and so much better than bags when grocery shopping. While many vendors of African-made baskets can be found in other shops and on-line, the baskets from our friends at Baba Tree are special? Why? Because the Baba Tree weavers of Bolgatanga northern Ghana produce the best quality baskets and are paid a fair wage for their work. Because money paid for these baskets goes directly into the hands of the weavers, enriching their lives and ours. Because using a strong, well-made and long-lasting basket reduces the need for plastic and paper shopping bags and other unnecessary packaging materials. What more can we say—these hand-made, beautiful and utilitarian baskets are the best! Only available in-store (sorry, we are not able to ship due to size and shipping costs).
