We knit Trellis years ago in a non-stretchy cotton and, although the sweater is lovely and still in use, it was not fun to knit. The sweater was also quite stiff with all those cotton cables. This time around, we’ve chosen Rowan Calmer (a soft cotton with stretchy microfibre) and it’s knitting up like a dream.

Mods: We’re knitting the body of the sweater in one piece without side seams, not sure yet about sleeve treatment.
