Hansel 

We're finishing up Hansel, Gudrun Johnson's beautiful hap shawl. The hap shawl is a traditional Shetland blanket knit for special occasions such as the birth of a baby. It has been so much fun to knit and encompasses so many interesting techniques that we've decided to offer the project as a class. You'll knit a mini-hap during the 4 week class while learning all the techniques needed for the full-size version. Our full-size hap, shown above, is ready for blocking, the important final step to size and open up the feather-and-fan lace pattern and scalloped edging.  Check back tomorrow for blocking tips and pictures.
