Sweater season is upon us and we couldn't be happier! Shown above, Iðunn, an Icelandic sweater knit in one of our favourite yarns, Lett Lopi. We love Lopi for its combination of lightness plus warmth, it's incredible durability, it's ease of knitting and the fact that it comes from a distinctive breed of Icelandic sheep virtually unchanged for 1100 years!
We'll be knitting this traditional "lopapeysa" sweater in our class starting September 27. Join us for a fun exploration of various knitting techniques, including stranded colourwork, steeking, short row shaping and top-down sweater construction.
