Join us for Sivia Harding’s class beginning November 19 and knit the River Rock Scarf. This scarf, based on a simple 2×2 rib with a little lace openwork at the edges, is an exercise in stream of consciousness knitting. The scarf is meant to be like a freely running river with beads simulating little rocks that interrupt the stream from time to time—add your “rocks” to the stream anywhere you please, and put in as many as you like. For those who wish to follow a pattern, Sivia will include a plan, but encourages everyone to dream up their own river.
