Noromania "Scarf"

Noromania "Scarf" in Kureopatora
We love Noro Kureopatora, big squishy 350-yard cakes of 100% wool, dyed in amazing Noro colour combinations. Yesterday we found the perfect project for this yarn, the Noromania Blanket, and we chose two colourways in blues, blacks and greys with a hint of pink for the blanket. Okay, cast on 220 stitches with 6 mm circulars and knit back and forth in garter stitch, alternating colours every two rows. Hmmm, looking beautiful . . . but after about 3 inches of knitting we realized that finishing such a massive blanket for the winter season was unrealistic. Especially with other half-completed projects waiting in the wings. Quick cast off and we now have a skinny scarf! The play of colour and texture with Kureopatora in this alternating garter stitch pattern is awesome so we'll be making up a wider version of the scarf (with fringe) from the remainder of the yarn. Check out our skinny scarf sample at the shop this weekend.
