. . . consider knitting a Mistake Rib Scarf in buttery soft Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton.
Mistake Rib makes a deeply ribbed and lofty fabric that lays flat and is reversible--the perfect stitch for a scarf.
We used this Purl Bee pattern with a few modifications:
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton, 3 skeins MC 625 Graphite and 1 skein CC 607 Lemongrass
Needle: 5.5 mm
Cast on with CC, change to MC and knit in mistake rib until most of third skein has been used, leaving enough for trim and/or stripe on toque (see below), bind off with CC.
We'll be knitting a toque with the remainders of Lemongrass (MC) and Graphite (CC).
