We couldn’t resist knitting Bev Galeskas’ Fat Baby Booties from the new Interweave Felt. This ingenious design is made to slip easily onto fat little feet and STAY ON! Bev uses short rows and other shaping techniques to create the perfect slipper that is hand-felted to just the right dimensions for your little one. Buttons and elastic cord are used for closure at the back of the bootie. Although the pattern calls for DK weight yarn, it worked well for us using a single strand of Cascade 220 on 5.5mm needles. We’re thinking a double strand of Cascade on larger needles would make an adult size—we’ll give it a try!
