If you can knit and purl, you're ready to Cable! Â This class will explore techniques used to create these twisted stitch patterns, including the basics of forming cables, special tools used in cable knitting, and understanding writtten and charted instructions. Â In the first two sessions students will work sampler swatches while exploring patterns and techniques. Â In the third and fourth classes students will work on a cabled cowl.
Adventurous knitters may choose Olga Buraya-Kefelian's lovely Cabled Cowl, a project that challenges with multiple intertwining cables (more versions on Ravelry) . . . or the simpler, but beautiful, Three Seas Cowl by Christina Stork.
