If you can knit and purl, you're ready to Cable!  This class will explore techniques used to create these twisted stitch patterns, including the basics of forming cables, special tools used in cable knitting, and understanding writtten and charted instructions.  In the first two sessions students will work sampler swatches while exploring patterns and techniques.  In the third and fourth classes students will work on a cabled cowl. Adventurous knitters may choose Olga Buraya-Kefelian's lovely Cabled Cowl, a project that challenges with multiple intertwining cables (more versions on Ravelry) . . . or the simpler, but beautiful, Three Seas Cowl by Christina Stork.
