These beautifully crafted artisan baskets are perfect for yarn and knitting project management and so much better than bags when grocery shopping. While many vendors of African-made baskets can be found in other shops and on-line, the baskets from our friends at Baba Tree are special? Why? Because the Baba Tree weavers of Bolgatanga northern Ghana produce the best quality baskets and are paid a fair wage for their work. Because money paid for these baskets goes directly into the hands of the weavers, enriching their lives and ours. Because using a strong, well-made and long-lasting basket reduces the need for plastic and paper shopping bags and other unnecessary packaging materials.
