Inspired yesterday to start a spring sweater, we were drawn immediately to the Jamieson and Smith Shetland in a beautiful heathered yellow colour--feather light, lofty and surprisingly soft, we think the Shetland will be perfect for a light weight cardigan.

We chose Melissa Schaschwary's Heathered, a classic cardigan with textured yoke and set in pockets, originally knit in sport weight yarn at a loose gauge of 20 stitches/4 inches. Our swatch on 4 mm needles with the Shetland produced a lovely fabric at gauge. Yay! We cast on and knit a bit of the yoke.
