Description:
Socks Basics is a great program for new knitters who want to venture beyond scarves and hats or more experienced knitters who have never tried socks. In this 4-week program you will be introduced to the structure and form of a sock, knit from the cuffs to the toes. Using either fingering or double knitting (dk) weight yarn and Churchmouse’s ‘Basic Sock’ pattern, you will work through a pair of socks, learning to turn the heel, shape the gusset and toe and graft using the kitchener stitch. Pull your finished socks on in Week 4 and you’ll never want to wear store-bought socks again!
Materials:
Fingering or dk weight yarn, stitch markers, darning needle and dpns needed to obtain gauge.
