This Lace Basics class is suitable for beginning lace knitters.   If you’ve always wanted to knit lace but thought it was too difficult, this is the class for you!  You will learn how to read a lace chart, create simple lace stitches, recognize and correct mistakes, and block a lace project.  In this six week course you will explore a variety of lace patterns by completing four sampler squares using a DK weight yarn.   Then, using the techniques learned in your sampler squares, you will work on a larger lace scarf project in a finer silk blend yarn.

2 skeins Cascade 220 Sport for the sampler squares

1 skein Sweet Georgia Seasilk Lace for the scarf

Addi Turbo Lace needles suitable to obtain desired gauge (students will experiment with needle sizes in class before purchasing needles)
