Description:

Get those UFO’s (unfinished objects) out of your closet and learn how to finish them.  Incorporating skills acquired over a lifetime of knitting (including many of Lucy Neatby’s brilliant techniques),  our instructor will teach you how to block your garment, sew up the seams, attach sleeves, use a three-needle bind off for shoulder seaming, pick up stitches to add neck bands or button bands, and more.  You’ll also learn how to decide on finishing techniques even before you start a project.

Materials:

Usual assortment of knitting tools, including sharp and blunt tapestry needles, scissors, seaming pins/clips (accessories may also be purchased at the time of class); unfinished knitting project(s) or practice swatches (see below).

Practice Swatches:

If you don’t have unfinished projects available to work on, ask for our pre-class knitting handout.  You’ll prepare a few simple swatches in advance for practicing techniques.
