The Cowichan-Inspired Sweater
Join us this winter and knit a Cowichan-inspired sweater. You can go here to read about the original Coast Salish sweaters. And good news here–a victory for Cowichan Tribe knitters. We’ll be knitting our cardigan in an Aran to Chunky weight wool using a traditional reindeer design or you can substitute a charted design of your choosing. Sizes range from Small to XXXLarge in this unisex design. Techniques include fair isle and intarsia knitting, pocket construction, zipper application and seaming/finishing. Class dates range from November through January (with a break over Christmas) which will give you plenty of time to complete your pieces–knitting homework required!
