The “Cowichan-Inspired” Sweater Class is inspiring!

Students in Jamie’s Cowichan-Inspired Sweater class met last night for the final session of their class and we were very excited by all of their beautiful and creative projects.

Jamie is demonstrating basting prior to sewing the zipper in her  ”skulls and bows” Cowichan.  More views here.

Jamie found a zipper in the perfect colour–a nice peak of deep pink will show down the front edges of the sweater.

reindeer & robot 1

One of the students used the traditional reindeer motif.   Hard to believe, but this was her first project after a beginner knitting class!

Another student designed robots for her sweater.

celtic oak

This sweater was designed with oak trees, oak leaves, acorns and a celtic-inspired border motif.

Last but not least, the orcas!

If you’d like to join in the fun, we’re offering another Cowichan-Inspired Sweater class beginning February 7.
