Knitters and crocheters have to plan ahead for holiday gift giving and decorating and here at Three Bags Full we have taken the plunge and started well in advance on two projects for the Christmas season. Â The first was inspired by a fanciful book . . .
Arne and Carlos live and work in an old train station north of Oslo, Norway, surrounded by century's old ritual and tradition. Arne and Carlos are designers and knitters. They love Christmas and are a wee bit addicted to hand-knit ornaments. Good thing, 'cause we now get to share their patterns (and musings) in this wonderful book!
We're knitting with the new Rowan Fine Tweed, a Yorkshire 4-ply that is perfect for fair isle and colour work.  First in line--the Rocking Horse.   We're hoping for a tree completely  decorated with hand-knit ornaments.  Check back for updates on our progress.  Next up, Planning for the Holidays Part 2:  A Christmas Stocking.
