Last year we knit this simple little triangle shawl, Nordic Wind, in Icelandic wool and it became a staple in our winter wardrobe.

Then, a few weeks ago, a customer came in wearing a Felted Tweed version of Nordic Wind and we knew we had to have one--the perfect project for celebrating the Autumnal Equinox. Here is our colour palette.

We're only half way through the second colour so modifications are still speculative but our plan so far: using 32" 4mm circular needles, we knit with the first colour until center spine measured 9" (partial ball of grey remained unused). We will knit with the second colour until stripe measures 7" and/or we run out of yarn. We will knit with the third colour until stripe measures 5" and/or we run out of yarn. We will knit with the fourth colour until stripe measures 3" (we anticipate using a second ball of blue to complete this final stripe and bind off). Check back for updates!
