A Day without a Woman

We will be closed on Wednesday, March 8 in support of International Women's Day and the Day Without a Woman strike. Women's rights organizers in over 50 countries hope to call attention to issues of injustice facing women, including labour rights, gender violence and reproductive freedom. While we realize many women in our most vulnerable communities will not have the ability to join the strike due to economic insecurity, we can act for them. So do what you can: If you are able, take the day off from paid or unpaid labour; avoid shopping; wear red, signifying love, sacrifice, energy and action; and join IWD activities in your community.
